Sixteen Miles NW of Austin off Highway 183 Cedar Park was established in 1873, formed by the Ranch of George and Harriet Cluck. The city was named after the parklike surroundings of his home which included a heavily flowing spring called Running Brushy Creek. With 78,693 people, Cedar Park is the 52nd most populated city in the state of Texas out of 1,805 cities per Census 2020.
